DESIGN STATEMENT:
Pastorale Flower is a boutique business specializing in floral design for home, weddings and events. The proposed Chippendale site will be the business first official retail store open to the public. The new site is located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, Chippendale. Surrounded by a hub of retail and hospitality spaces, the 82.7 sqm tenancy is part of the Iglu Central Park Retail complex.
The proposed design aims to highlight the beauty of the flower arrangements by providing a minimal yet textural backdrop for the products whilst keeping in mind the businesses branding and the existing industrial site. Concrete, warm woods and matte black finishes will feature throughout with pops of colourful fabric. Spatiality, the design will consist of the front of house area including a flower display, meeting area, workstations, self serve area and reception. Separated by an arched curtain, the back of house will include stainless steel workstations, a washup sink area and a cool room.
